This week I have been playing “Feelings” section (L4) on Duolingo German.

There are over 70 sentences about expressing feelings in German.

Here is the list of adjectives: stolz, tapfer, böse, dumm, schlau, sichtbar, hilfreich, ehrlich, echt, langweilig, witzig, interessant, frei, kurz, schön, nett, schlimm and süß.

And a list of adverbs here that modifies the adjectives: total, ehrlich, richtig, ziemlich, lieber, irgendwie, ganz, gar, unheimlich, nicht, sehr, nur and erster.

The sentences also feature use of prepositions like von, vor, auf, mit, zu, bei, mit, für, and verbs like lösen, liebe, träumt, seid, zeige, sieht, macht, mag and hat.

The nouns that can be found in those sentences are: Umzug, Spaß, Stadt, Maus, Angst, Ernst, Mathematik, Freud, Not, Wünsche, Traum, Glück, Verständnis, Schuld, Sommer, Schweden, Eindruck, Ernst, Schuld and Ärger.

I have made use of Google Translate and created a Google Sheet consisting of the sentences here. Using the above words as keywords to search through the sheet for the respective examples might be a helpful companion for you to practise the Feelings section of Duolingo German.

Besides, I would suggest looking into sentence patterns like: “Das ist…”, “Es ist…”, use of adverbs like “total”, “ehrlich”, “unheimlich” and “nicht”, and the use of verbs like “macht” and “liebe”. Prepositions like “von”, “vor” and “auf” are super confusing to me.

To remember the nouns, practising Duolingo as a habit could definitely help.

Personally, I find it very confusing in using “mir” and “dir”.
